Half-weres are shifters who cannot make a full change and because of this, they are shunned from their prides or packs. The Half-Were house is their sanctuary where they learn to become a part of human society while dealing with their own person demons. Three very different half-weres become the best of friends and now they each must follow a path that fate has put them on. Blaze, Meg, and Gina confront their past; but will they be able to put the past behind them in order to accept their newfound future in society and with their mates.
Darragha Foster starts us off with Blaze's story in Tail Over Whiskers. Blaze is full of spunk and adventure, especially when it comes to satisfying that sexual itch. When she finds herself scent-mated to a half-were dog….well, the fur does fly as these two characters try to make the best out of an impossible situation. These two lovers are full of attitude, but when it comes down to mating, it is out of their hands. Now, surviving this relationship will create some anxious and titillating moments that are sure to thrill the reader.
Earning Her Stripes is Meg's story and written by the talented mind of Mima. Banished from her pride, Meg tries to adjust to life in the human world, but her soul is still being pulled to her much-loved job as teacher to the prides children. So, what will she do?--take it like a good kitty, or return to her home and fight for her job and place in the pride? Meg returns prepared to be shunned and is shocked when she finds an ally with Ben, a farmer and male dominant within the pride. Emotional and highly erotic, Earning Her Stripes will leave your heart pounding with excitement.
The last in this trio is Gina's story and a trio is what you get when Gina's attraction to her boss and his lover becomes an erotically charged affair that stirs up trouble within the were-community. Piece of Tail by Celia Kyle gives you a fantastic finish to the anthology and her characters will tug at the heart with emotions, while the dialogue between them will strike the funny bone. This story is a great read that concludes into an exciting ending that wraps all three stories up nicely.
Half-Were House is a fun and thrilling read. The main characters although very different in personality, share a common bond with their inability to fully shift. Very chick and very erotic and very much a great read. I loved the variety of their personalities that bring the most interesting men into their lives. Have fun reading this one. :o)
