Justin Johannson has been searching for mystical creatures his whole life. His father used to tell him stories of the fairy folk and it wasn't until Justin was an adult that he learned that his father was not just telling stories, but telling true tales of his own life with the fairy folk. Justin has dedicated his life to finding out the truth and what happens? The truth finds him. He ends up having the best dream he has ever had with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, only it is not a dream. Scarlata is a folletti, something like a fairy. She has wings. He is having the best dream of his life and then realizes it is no dream at all. Scarlata is confused and angry that her spell to keep him asleep while she has her sexual way with him has not worked on him. She enjoys the best sex she has had in like forever.
So why does her magic not work on Justin? She doesn't sense that he is a magical creature so what gives? Also why is Justin's boss out to capture Scarlata when Justin thought he just had a boring job, which had sent him to this remote area to check on the migratory path of the hawks that live on this mountain. How did Justin not know that his boss was a magical creature as well when he had his father's research as well as his own to go by? And why were they out to kill Justin and capture Scarlata?
This is a lifetime keeper and I will definitely look for more from this author. She has created a wonderful world that I can't wait to visit again.
