Mason is eating his heart out for love because his brother's best friend Jack decides to leave town to try and begin a new life.  Ten years of dreaming fall short when Jack persuades Mason to climb into bed with him. Upon waking Jack flees humiliating Mason so Mason leaves that morning.

Mason doesn’t make it far before he has to turn around and come back. He decides to cut Jack out of his life and start fresh with new friends and new places.  Danger though stalks Mason when a serial killer sets his sights on him being the next victim. Jack and Masons new friends rally around to protect Mason.

I enjoyed A Promise Kept. The story was well written and had a lot of action that really will keep a reader interested. The feelings between Jack and Mason made me want to cheer for them and also smack Jack a few times. The loves scenes were just hot and steamy enough to really kick the story up a notch. I enjoyed the mystery as it unfolded. I will recommend this book to friends for a good read.
