Genre: Paranormal Romance

Elizabeth has grown up alone and been on her own for years now. The last thing she needs is some chauvinistic male telling her what to do and how to run her life, even if he did help her get rid of a vampire that had plans on enslaving her for his own cruel purposes, she could have handled it by herself.

Sam knew there was something different about this woman even before he met her, he sure didn’t want to scare her off once he realized she was his mate. Then there are a few other things he doesn’t get a chance to tell her before it is too late.

This story is filled with Ms. Leigh’s usual attention to detail and character depth. These people come alive for the reader. The reader becomes involved in the characters’ lives and really wants to see them succeed.

No, it doesn’t have as much of the hot sensual scenes that Ms. Leigh is known for but what is there is intense and appropriate to the story – and isn‘t that what counts?

A delightful read and I was happy to find out there is already a sequel in the pipes.

This eBook was previously briefly available from another publisher and now makes its re-edited debut with eXtasy Books.

Elizabeth Winters is under attack. Her assailant is among the undead, a vampire: the most feared and reviled of Earth’s legendary creatures.

Intent on coming to her rescue is Samuel Woods, the leader of his people and Elizabeth’s one true mate. She is the Protector’s destiny. Together they stand between the undead and the enslavement of all mankind.

They are members of the Loup-garou, modern-day werewolves, destined to protect humanity from vampires, while roaming the world in search of their other half. From the mountains of Upstate New York, to the Saskatchewan region of Canada, Sam and Elizabeth find themselves battling not only the undead, but traitors from within.
