James Bond on steroids with a healthy dose on amnesia thrown in. Wow! She wakes up by falling out of a cryogenic storage tube with a name on her tongue that she doesn’t recognize, a man she doesn’t recognize in front of her, and a asteroid around she doesn’t recognize because she can’t remember even her own name. The man calls her Katya and himself James, and while she doesn’t believe him in the least, she has nothing else to go by. He feeds her steak on a table with a white tablecloth and silver plates, and refuses to answer any questions. Just as things are getting interesting, they start running out of air.
The two of them then proceed to spend two days having wild sex – when they aren’t running and hiding from Paxton, the person who cut their air and destroyed James’ ship, whoever he is. Katya can’t remember him, either. But he apparently remembers her, and he wants her dead. The problem is, as Katya’s memory starts to return, she is pretty sure that James wants her dead as well. She is begins to suspect that she in turn wants both James and Paxton dead – but she can’t yet remember why. Somehow it’s tied up with the His Royal Highness, the Almighty and Very Reverend Emperor of Tirion. Is James the Emperor? Is Paxton? Are they both, somehow, the Emperor?
Sticking together the shards of her memory, which apparently spans more than six hundred years, Katya begins to figure out what happened, why, and what she’s going to do to fix it. But it’s not easy, and even from inside her own mind, readers may have a hard time figuring out the exact sequence of events. It’s a fun read, snarky and sassy, and while it’s sometimes confusing, it’s never boring.

Frozen for decades on an abandoned asteroid, Katya Ortaega thaws and collapses at the feet of the most deliciously sinful man she has ever seen... she thinks.
Katya's problem is her memory—she hasn't got one. Her mind is blank. And now she's stuck on a drilling platform with James Kinsare, a man who has her skin tingling and sometimes not in a good way. James is not who he appears to be and she can't trust him ... even as she finds him far too attractive.
All too soon, her past rears in the form of a man intent on killing both of them and now they have to work together to stay alive. However, Katya's memories begin to resurface. And James Kinsare, the man who's kept her alive against all the odds, the man who's thawing her frozen heart, might prove to be the biggest threat of all.
