While abord ship, Moira meets a strange man, Sir Tavig MacAlpin, who is not what he seems to be. During a storm Moira falls overboard and Sir Tavig jumps in to save her. After they are washed ashore with nothing but the ragged clothes on their back, Sir Tavig decides it is fate and Moira is the woman he wants to wed. They decide to go to his cousins keep for help. While on the way, Moira finds out Sir Tavig is a wanted man. His cousin, Iver, framed him for murder and stoled everything Tavig owned. As they travel, Tavig tries to woe Moira. They each discover things about each other as they race to safety, feelings start to grow between them. But can they reach saftey before the danger stalking them wins? Ms Howell writes a passionate tale of romance that takes place in the Scottish Highlands. Her descriptions of the Highlands and its people makes you think you are there. Ms. Howell has never failed to captivate me with her stories. She is on my auto buy list and all her books are keepers.
