Alyssa will do anything for her grandfather. The thing is this new project he has up his sleeves means she has to go into her old self. Years ago she was the government’s greatest top hacker. Now that is in the past Alyssa is in a new life where she doesn’t have to worry about people wanting her dead. Her grandfather knows she is loyal to him and understands her beliefs in life. The thing is Alyssa and the man Connor, the other guy who is in the deal are meant for each other. Every time they are together Alyssa wonders how she can control her heart. Connor is everything she would have wanted in a man but her life has turned upside down. Her grandfather knows nothing about the life she led before and is determined to stay that way. Yet someone wants her grandfather dead and won’t stop at anything. Can Alyssa help her father but keep her heart from breaking when it’s time to leave Connor?
Connor is a shrewd, persistent and yes a workaholic businessman. He has had many women before but none have intrigued him like Alyssa. He is in the middle of a big partnership. One that will raise his business profits but also change the way the oil industry is right now. Everything is going as planned, however he didn’t expect his new business partner’s ravishing granddaughter. No…Alyssa is nothing like his other women. She is not only beautiful but also smart and can hack into anything including so far his heart. Someone wants this deal to not succeed and Connor has no clue who it could be. The only thing he knows is that Alyssa is the woman for him. Can he convince her they both are meant for each other?
Pitch Dark was an awesome read from beginning to ending. I loved the whole suspense, betrayal and lies twisting in the book. The attraction between Connor and Alyssa was great. You can tell they both are afraid to love because of their pasts but man the heat between them is explosive. Even the grandfather in the book was great to read. His attempts of matchmaking will really make you smile. This is the first I have read of Brooke London and it won’t be the last. Brooke London knows her men, action and how to create chemistry between her characters. All of that just makes her books worth reading.
