A family in trouble financially due to their father’s gambling debts feels forced to make a bargain with a treasure seeking sea captain named Trevon.   The oldest sister, Violet, volunteers a treasure map that her mother had given her before her death. Now Violet and Trevon embark on a treacherous journey in search of a treasure that will pay off Violet’s family debts. However, along the journey, things begin to intensify between them until a quite unexpected bar brawl brings them finally together. 

All runs smoothly except that Trevon has one part of his life to close before he can give himself completely to Violet, forever. Trevon’s arch enemy, who has already tried to kill him once, is now interested in Violet’s treasure as well and will not stop at anything to get his hands on the treasure and Violet in order to destroy Trevon once and for all.

This is a nice romantic storyline with just enough sexual tension and attraction to keep me coming back to the book. At the end of the story there is a small cliffhanger that will leave the reader guessing if there will be a sequel. Well I certainly hope so.
