Rissa Tate is married to her husband Tom for twenty years and they have twin sixteen year olds named Sandi and Seth. Unfortunately, Tom becomes bored with the marriage and has an affair. Ironically, it is with someone who isn’t that far off in age from the twins. Filing for divorce, he calls Rissa up one day and asks her to pack up his stuff and tells her she can do whatever she wants with it.

As she is packing his stuff up, she happens to come across her diaries from high school. She reads it and fond memories of her best friend, Bobby come to mind. After heading to college, they lost contact with one another. As she continues reading her entries, she comes across the pact they made with each other just before he left for college. The pact is to meet in Disney World in Florida exactly twenty-five years to the date he left for school. Rissa realizes that this is just two weeks away. She wonders if he would even remember the pact and if so, she hopes he would follow through with the promise of meeting her at the bridge leading to Cinderella’s Castle.

Does Rissa decide to take an impromptu vacation with her children? If so, could it be possible that Bobby would be there also hoping that Rissa remembered their pact after all these years?

Ms. Martinez definitely knows how to write an entertaining story. She had me drawn in from the very beginning and I immediately sympathized with Rissa over how her terrible, soon to be ex-husband was treating her. I was hoping the entire time that Rissa wouldn’t stop living her life and that she would also move forward just as Tom had decided to do. The author wrote a creative storyline that was fun and exciting to read. She wrote with such emotions that I felt the exact same jitters that Rissa was experiencing while she was reading her diary entries. Ms. Martinez did a fantastic job with this story and I look forward to reading many more stories written by her.

Rissa isn’t as surprised as she should be that her husband left her. She’d had an idea for a few years he wasn’t being faithful. She’d buried her head in the sand for the sake of the twins. He left her four month’s earlier, and now he’s asked her to clear all of his possessions out of their home and do with them what she wants. As she boxes everything for Good Will she comes across her old diaries. In them she finds her entry of the pact she made with Robert, Bobby, Graham to meet in Twenty-five years. That date is in two weeks. Would he be there?

Rob Graham has loved Rissa for as long as he remembered. When they’d been in high school she’d only thought of him as a buddy, the brother she never had. Would she remember their pact? If she did, would she be there?
