Scions: Resurrection begins with readers meeting the hero, Jachin Black during an assassination job he took in order to pay for the blood he needs. Jachin is a vampire, a loner and has been banished from his people. He kidnaps Ariel Swanson after learning of the book she wrote in order to assuage her fear of vampires. Ariel’s book is based on a little known vampire. Ariel ends up being his very reluctant captive and does everything within her power to try to escape. Jachin wants to deliver Ariel to Braeden, the leader of his former vampire clan, so she can fulfill the prophecy. But of course, that’s easier said then done because vampires and vampire hunters among other things are chasing them. And there’s also the matter of Jachin’s attraction to Ariel. The chemistry between these two characters was explosive and leaped off the page. And the sexual tension is clear and intense. Will they be able to survive? Will Jachin deliver Ariel to Braeden? What does the prophecy mean and will it come true? Will they give in to the intense feelings their experiencing? Scions: Resurrection was a fast paced, action packed, engaging and enjoyable read. Ms Michelle’s is a gift author with a knack for storytelling, which will have readers routing for the characters and getting immersed in the world, which she created. I recommend this read highly to those who like paranormal romance and look forward to reading the next book (Scions: Insurrection) in this series.

Everyone believed vampires were extinct. Everyone was wrong. When Ariel Swanson wrote a novel about vampires, she hoped it would exorcise her fear of the creatures that had, not so long ago, terrorized the human population. Instead, it brought her to their attention. And to the attention of Jachin Black—a man banished from the Saguinas, a vampire pack, and forced to hunt among the despised humans. For he clung to the prophecy given years ago, of a better way for his kind to live—a prophecy Ariel unknowingly used as the basis of her novel. Ariel hates and fears vampires. Jachin despises humanity. But the prophecy—and passion—binds them in ways they could never have imagined. Ways that may heal the past, and change the future.…
