Portraying herself as a girlfriend was so not part of the job description.  Brenna Linwood is thrilled to be the personal assistant to a Greek tycoon for the summer.  The money will help immensely with her younger brothers college tuition.  When she meets Markos Christakis for the first time, she’s overwhelmingly attracted to him but struggles to keep things professional.  When he hires her to be his make-believe girlfriend to get his family off his back, she finds herself in an unusual situation.

Markos is happy with his life.  Who wouldn’t be happy being rich and gorgeous with women at his beck and call?  The problem is his family.  Now his mother is parading eligible girls in front of him.  The horror!  To circumvent her plans, he hires his personal assistant to take on another role:  that of his make-believe girlfriend.  But the feelings she inspires, include the desire, are anything but make-believe.  When he begins to fall in love with her for real, the deception he’s woven threatens to pry them apart.

Markos falls with a bang and never knows what hit him.  Brenna struggles with the fact that she’s perpetuating a lie, getting paid for it, and is actually having sex with her boss!  Her moral dilemma causes a rift that Markos has to work hard to repair.  His past history as a player really works against him.

The romance between the two was sweet as well as sultry, and this was a familiar favorite storyline that made for a great escape.

When Brenna Linwood takes a job as a personal assistant to a Greek tycoon, she certainly doesn't expect to end up being his make-believe girlfriend.

Taking a summer job as a personal assistant on a beautiful, private island in the Aegean seems like a good choice for Brenna Linwood. The generous salary is a bonus and it will help her finance her brother's education. She is taken aback by her strong attraction to her gorgeous new boss, Markos Christakis, and struggles to keep things professional. However, when she enters an agreement to be his make-believe girlfriend, she's caught in a rather unorthodox situation.

Markos Christakis has no intention of marrying, so when his parents' attempts to find him a bride turn serious, he's got to find a way out. It doesn't take him long to come up with a plan in the form of his lovely new assistant, Brenna. She would be the perfect deterrent if she portrays the loving girlfriend. To make sure she accepts the deal, he makes an offer she can't refuse. What's more, he'll definitely enjoy the pleasure of her company. When he starts falling for her, however, he's entangled in his own deception.
