When Melina meets her destined mate, Wulf Caradoc, first son of the ruler of Prime, the sparks fly as their basic personalities clash on an epic scale. He wants to protect, she needs to fight. Together they battle the Antareans, the reptilian race bent on both their species destruction, as well as their feelings for one another. The winner in either battle is anyone’s guess.
Loved it. While some reviewers view the “bonded mate” as a cop out, I disagree. This was way more than that. The couple didn’t actually meet until well into the book. The sex didn’t start until well afterward. And Melina wasn’t going to just accept her fate. She made Wulf work for it and kept him always on his toes. The tension between them was phenomenal. The mystery and intrigue about who is behind the resistance and the attempts on Melina’s life added another dimension to an already fabulous story. I can’t wait for the continuation with the storyline and more clues into who is behind the whole resistance. A must read.
