Wicked by Any Other Name by Linda WisdomAuthor: Linda Wisdom

Hello Linda,

Thanks for joining me today on Night Owl Romance.

Tammie King of NOR: To get us started can you please start by telling us a little about what you are working on or have coming out?

Linda Wisdom: Thank you for having me! I continued my Hex series with Jazz’s witchy friend, Stasi Romanov, who lives in the touristy mountain town Moonstone lake with fellow witch Blair Fitzpatrick who stars in the fourth book coming out later this year. I’m also working on a YA urban fantasy. Writing keeps me out of mischief. <g>

Tammie King of NOR: Could you please tell us a little about yourself?

Linda Wisdom: I’ve been published for 28 years and written a variety of romances from traditional to humorous and action/adventure, romantic suspense and my favorite paranoramal. I’m a born and bred Californian, married with a spoiled rotten Chihuahua/Yorkie. Bogie is featured as Stasi’s dog. I also have an equally spoiled Yellow Nape Amazon and tortoise. We also have a house ghost I named Frank who tends to pick up things, keep them for awhile then replace them exactly where they had been.

Tammie King of NOR: If you could be one of the characters from this book – Who would you be? And why?

Linda Wisdom: That’s a toughie. I’ve been told that Jazz is the most like me and I have to admit I wouldn’t mind being her for a day as long as I didn’t have to deal with Dweezil.

Tammie King of NOR: Who or what influenced you when you wrote this book? Did you have a CD, Songs, environment, etc?

Linda Wisdom: Wicked By Any Other Name has a back-story based on the Salem Witch Trials. I visited Salem years ago when my husband was based in Boston and I was always fascinated with the sorrow that came from that time. When I began writing I knew the time would come when I’d use that and this book was perfect for it.

Tammie King of NOR: Can you please give us a sneak peek into the book?

Hex Appeal by Linda WisdomLinda Wisdom: Stasi Romanov owns a lingerie boutique where you can also pick up your favorite romance novels. If there’s something she enjoys, it’s fostering romance in people’s lives. Except now her life is turned upside down when she’s sued by a mortal for fraud with the claim her enchanted sachet didn’t bring the woman’s cheating husband back. Trevor Barnes, the wizard attorney representing the mortal woman, never loses a case, but after meeting Stasi, he wouldn’t mind losing the case if it gave him a chance with the saucy witch. Except Cupid’s now played a trick on Stasi. Both she and Trev have red hearts over their heads, meaning they’ve now met their soul mates, even if both disagree on that point. The town they love is also turning against them in a violent way and the lake that’s always centered the witches is showing signs of malevolent activity. Stasi lived in Salem during the Witch Trials and she fears the past has come back to haunt her. The question is who’s behind it and if she can find the source before it’s too late. Jazz, Nick, Irma and Fluff and Puff show up to help her and Blair.

Tammie King of NOR: Please tell us what you have planned next?

Linda Wisdom: I’m working on a YA urban fantasy along with another Hex book.

Tammie King of NOR: What kind of research did you do for this book? Did you enjoy the research process?

Linda Wisdom: I did a lot of research into the Salem Witch Trials to make sure the information I used was accurate. Historical research is always fun for me!

Tammie King of NOR: What would you like to tell your readers?

Linda Wisdom: That I hope they all enjoy Stasi’s story as much as they’ve enjoyed Jazz’s.

Tammie King of NOR: Do you belong to a critique group? If so, how does this help or hinder you?

Linda Wisdom: No, I don’t. I have friends where we’ll bounce ideas off each other but no true critiquing.

Tammie King of NOR: Thanks for joining us again. Before you go please tell our readers how they can get your books and how to keep abreast of your work. Do you have a website, newsletter, etc.

Linda Wisdom: I’m in Barnes & Noble and Borders, Amazon and other book sites on line. I can be found at www.myspace.com/lindawisdombooks and a link for my newsletter is there. Fluff and Puff also have their own MySpace, www.myspace.magickbunnyslippers

Tammie King of NOR: Can you please give us a sneak peek at any of your upcoming books?

50 Ways to Hex Your Lover by Linda WisdomLinda Wisdom: Blair’s book, Hex in High Heels, comes out in October 2009 and pretty much takes up where Stasi’s book left off. Except she’s after sexy carpenter Jake Harrison, who has some secrets of his own and the two witches also have to deal with someone wanting to take over the entire mountain. Fluff and Puff also have some mischief there that’s a little unique.

Tammie King of NOR: Is there anything else you would like to share with readers?

Linda Wisdom: We all know that times are tougher now, but we authors hope you won’t forget us and manage to buy a book now and then. Losing ourselves in a good book is a nice way to have a mini vacation.

Tammie King of NOR: What would be the best way for readers contact you? Do you have a website? Email address? MySpace site? Blog? Message Board? Group?

Linda Wisdom: I’ll have a website soon, but for now it’s MySpace listed above and I can be contacted at Linda@lindawisdom.com

Thank you for this opportunity!
