Purchase Her Warrior Lord by Celia JadeAuthor: Celia Jade

by: Tammie King

Date: 3/5/08

Hello Celia,

The girls of Night Owl Romance are pleased that you have granted us an interview

We would love to get to know you.

Could you please start by telling us a little about yourself?

Sure. I was born in Montreal and speak three languages. I’ve got a degree in English literature and sociology. I’ve lived in Europe and New York, finally settling in my home country recently. I started writing as a hobby when I was a teenager and have been writing professionally for about three years now. The genres I lean towards are fantasy, historical, and paranormal erotic romance.

Naturally, I love reading all kinds of fiction. Some other hobbies include traveling, working out, walks in the park and petting kittens at the local pet store.

What’s your favorite genre to read?

Mostly fiction and specifically historical, fantasy, paranormal, suspense and chic lit.

Who or what influences you when you write?

Actually, most of my ideas originate from my dreams.

What do you do on a typical writing day?

When the muse is in full swing, I do almost nothing except write—sometimes well into the night, red eyes and all. If there is research involved, that may take up a good chunk of time as well.

Please tell us what you have planned next?

I’ve got a manuscript sent off for review already and I’m probably going to begin a short story soon.

Purchase Captured by Celia JadeIn 5 years, where do you see yourself? -In general and in you’re writing career

Since I am passionate about my work, I see myself with several e-book and print titles over the next five to eight years. In general, I guess I’d like to see myself with my own family and be involved in charity work.

Is there a genre of book you would like to write but haven't yet?

Yes, chic lit. It’s earthy and funny.

What would you like to tell your readers?

I’d like to say that I truly appreciate their personal time and support. I also love hearing from them at my blogsite.

Do you outline your books or just start writing?

I prefer to work with a general outline so that the story is well structured and cohesive.

What would be the best way for readers contact you? Do you have a website? Email address? MySpace site? Blog? Message Board? Group?

Presently, I’ve got a blogsite, which functions as my website too, so I keep it all under one roof. I’ve got so much happening on the Internet that I try to keep things as simple as possible. Readers can check out my blog at: http://celiajade.wordpress.com/. They can see what I’m up to and post messages there. If they don’t already have a Wordpress account, they can simply sign up for a free username without obligation to start a blog.

Thank you for this opportunity!
